A warm hello to all of our spectacular Facility Peers in Action!
The hardships presented by kidney disease can be exhausting and frustrating, but there is always a way to become stronger from these challenges, download the following resource written by Peer in Action, Anita Kucera.
This time of year your dialysis treatment schedule may change due to the facility needing to close because of inclement weather, transportation issues may arise, and roads may close. Check out the following resource to best prepare yourself for these unexpected schedule changes.
Last month, we gathered responses from facilities that shared their best practices for tackling common transportation challenges. Download the following resource to discover how you can implement these strategies and ensure everyone can attend all appointments and dialysis treatments! If your facility has found another effective way to help patients secure reliable transportation, share your success story with the ESRD Network at Qsource-Peers@qsource.org!
Your ESRD Network wants to recognize at least one facility staff member each month who is going above and beyond for their patients. This month we want to celebrate:
Regina Vinson! Regina Vinson, MSW, LCSW, Social Worker at DaVita Lake St. Louis, DaVita Saint Peters and Villa of Waterbury has been an amazing advocate for her patients in bringing awareness to mental health and the benefits of home dialysis. Regina works hard to juggle her work responsibilities while also participating fully in the Network quality improvement activities and ensures that patients receive valuable Network resources. Her patients are lucky to have such a dedicated person on their side. Thanks for all you do, Regina!
Do you have a facility staff member you’d like to nominate for the facility shoutout? Email us the details of who, what, and where at: Qsource-Peers@qsource.org
