According to F758 Free from Unnecessary Psychotropic Meds/PRN Use, residents must not receive any medications which are not clinically indicated to treat a specific condition. The medical record must show documentation of the diagnosed condition for which a medication is prescribed. Qsource developed an easy-to-use audit tool to assist facilities to remain compliant with this regulation.

Individuals are considered up to date with their COVID-19 vaccines during the surveillance period of June 26, 2023 – September 24, 2023 for the purpose of NHSN surveillance once they receive one updated bivalent Pfizer-BioNTech or bivalent Moderna COVID-19 vaccine. Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) is defined as services that are respectful of and responsive to individual cultural health beliefs, and practices, preferred languages, health literacy levels and communication needs. The CLAS standards provide a guideline with actions steps and strategies to address and eliminate health care disparities.
