Healthcare professionals have a strong influence over whether patients get a flu vaccine. Research indicates that most adults are likely to get their flu vaccine if their doctor or healthcare provider recommends it to them. Most adults believe vaccines are important, but they need a reminder to get vaccinated. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has resources for healthcare professionals regarding the importance of flu vaccinations for adults 50 – 64 years old, and those 65 and older.
